Mfula meaning ‘River’ is located in the most private bush setting just below the Mziki dam wall nestled amongst a wide variety of indigenous trees. Previously a large hunting camp, Mfula is spread over 2 Mziki sites giving a huge expanse of natural space allowing for the free movement of game between the lodge and multiple entertainment areas.
At night, one is sitting around the large Boma area with camp fires blazing listening to sounds of the bush, or simply lazying back and staring into the Milky Way, the silence broken every few minutes by the local hippos grunting or Fiery necked Nightjars calling to the full moon. Worlds class game drives, some of the best birding in the world, combined with one of most amazing bush setups one could ask for can only equate to good times. The boma area sits close to the large open plan lounge and kitchen space which has been tastefully finished to blend in with the surroundings.
