Kube Yini Private Game Reserve is located on the ancient volcanic Ubombo Mountains, which is at the southernmost end of the Great Rift Valley in South Africa. It shares a boundary with the Mun-Ya-Wana Conservancy (also known as Phinda Private Game Reserve) and Mkuze Game Reserve (Ezemvelo/ KZN Wildlife). Kube Yini is also in close proximity to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a World Heritage Site. The Reserve has unsurpassed breath-taking views of Northern Zululand and experiences ‘year round’ breezes to counter the warmer North Coast climate.
Positioned on top of the Ubombo Mountains, the reserve provides outstanding wildlife and birding opportunities as well as having a variety of vegetation types, from prime forest and savannah to true Zululand bushveld.
The reserve comprises 50 shareblocks (sites/ lodges or homes) each with the right to construct a lodge on a designated site for the owners permanent use along with rights of use over the entire 1214 hectare reserve. This reserve is geared for young families who want to be able to walk or ride their bikes around the reserve without worrying about being chased by any predators. Kindlewood lodge has one of the best positions in the reserve, where one can view game aplenty from the comfort of your lazy chair while sipping on a few cold ones. At night, nothing better than sitting under the stars in the boma around a crackling fire listening to the calls of bushbabies. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground level and space to sleep a further 6 at the upstairs loft area which sits next to a games room.
